Dr. Beshears received his undergraduate degree in chemistry and his doctorate in dentistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1987 and has completed the first continuum at the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education.

 Dr. Beshears is committed to staying abreast of all the latest dental techniques and treatments. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr.Beshears is a member in good standing of the High Point Dental Society,the Guilford County Dental Society, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the American Dental Association. He is currently serving on the North Carolina Dental Society Peer Review Committee. Locally, Dr. Beshears is a past clinical Instructor in the Dental Hygiene School at Guilford Technical Community College. He,also,served for several years on the GTCC Dental Advisory Board. Dr. Beshears is a charter member of the Jamestown Civitan Club.

On a personal note, Dr. Beshears is married to Janis Kupecki Beshears and has one son, Ryan. The Beshears' have been residents of Jamestown for over 30 years and are members of Jamestown United Methodist Church.
